• The Zurich Art Prize, presented by Museum Haus Konstruktiv and Zurich Insurance Group, recognizes artists who merge constructivist-concrete and conceptual art traditions with contemporary practice.
• Barba’s installations use film, sculpture and sound to collapse distinctions of time and space and address ecological themes.
• This summer, her MoMA show “The Ocean of One’s Pause” brought together 12 works produced over 15 years to examine light’s role in environmental transformation.
• She will allocate 100,000 CHF toward her 2026 Museum Haus Konstruktiv exhibition and receive an additional 30,000 CHF award.
• Barba becomes the first Italian recipient of the prize since its creation in 2007.
