Rory McIlroy Makes Historic First Hole-in-One at Travelers Championship

Rory McIlroy achieved his first career hole-in-one on the PGA Tour during the first round of the Travelers Championship.
McIlroy used a 5-iron to ace the 214-yard par-3 eighth hole at TPC River Highlands in Connecticut.
The shot helped McIlroy recover after starting 1 over par through seven holes and putting him at 1 under par overall.
McIlroy has played 3,253 par-3 holes over his PGA Tour career before recording his first hole-in-one.
After celebrating, McIlroy went on to birdie the ninth hole and finish the first round at 3 under par.
