Rookie Maximo Quiles Sets Moto3 Pace Again at Balaton Park Ahead of Qualifying

  • Maximo Quiles led Saturday’s FP2 with a 1:45.812, with David Muñoz 0.194s behind on the Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP KTM.
  • Adrian Fernandez was the top Honda in third, followed by Jose Antonio Rueda in fourth and Joel Kelso in fifth.
  • Quiles also topped Friday practice with a 1:46.448, 0.297s clear of Valentin Perrone, improving his benchmark by over six tenths into FP2.
  • On-track incidents included Angel Piqueras’ Turn 15 crash on Friday before placing P4, minor falls for Quiles at Turns 9 and 15 in FP2, and an FP2 tumble for David Almansa at Turn 5.
  • The top 11 riders in FP2 were covered by less than a second at the 2.53-mile Balaton Park Circuit as the 26-rider field heads into qualifying.
