• He died Sept. 15 and is survived by his wife, Val.
• Over a career spanning decades, he wrote more than 700 hours of primetime television as a longtime WGA member.
• His live-action credits included The Andy Griffith Show, Bewitched, Gilligan’s Island, The Odd Couple, Happy Days, Chico and the Man, Starsky and Hutch, The Fall Guy and Fantasy Island.
• He worked extensively in animation on The Transformers: The Movie, G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, Marvel’s 1990s Fantastic Four and Iron Man, and Warner Bros.’ Taz-Mania.
• Born in West Virginia and raised in Pittsburgh, he studied architecture at Carnegie Mellon and earned a 1966 Emmy nomination for The Danny Kaye Show.
