• The musical will begin previews at Stage 42 in New York City on October 14 and officially open on October 28
• Robin Schiff, who wrote the 1997 film, has penned the book with music and lyrics by Gwendolyn Sanford and Brandon Jay under Kristin Hanggi’s direction
• Barry Kemp, Stephen Soucy, Peter Schneider and Laurence Mark are producing the show with Showtown Productions as executive producer
• Casting details and additional creative collaborators have not yet been announced and are expected in the coming months
• A feature-film sequel remains in active development at 20th Century Studios with Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino in talks to reprise their roles
