Overview

  • Staff collect dogs directly at the terminal so travelers can head straight to their gate.
  • Rooms start around €40 with temperature-controlled floors and private gardens, and a €60 premium option adds 24/7 videocalls and an app-controlled treat dispenser.
  • Services include daycare and training, and local customers use the facility for regular care.
  • Aeroporti di Roma frames the venture as a passenger-experience upgrade that follows a similar model at Frankfurt Airport.
  • Italy now permits large dogs in cabins on domestic flights if crated, with the first such flight scheduled for Sept. 23, according to the transport minister.
