- Paid entry applies daily from 09:00 to 22:00 for the immediate viewing area in front of the fountain, with overnight access remaining free.
- Residents, children aged five or under, people with disabilities with a companion, and MIC cultural card holders are exempt from payment.
- The simultaneous-access limit at the site will be reduced to 250 people from the current 400 to curb overcrowding.
- Rome will also introduce paid entry at Villa di Massenzio, the Napoleonic Museum, the Barracco Museum, the Carlo Bilotti Museum, and the Pietro Canonica Museum.
- Tickets will be available online, on-site, and at physical points of sale, and the city projects roughly €6–6.5 million a year for maintenance as hotel industry leaders criticize the plan.
