• The Industry Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented at the festival’s opening ceremony on October 15, with the 20th edition running October 15–26 in Rome.
• Producer-director-screenwriter Uberto Pasolini, a longtime collaborator who began as a location scout on The Killing Fields, will present the honor.
• Puttnam’s producing credits include Midnight Express, Chariots of Fire, The Killing Fields, The Mission and Local Hero.
• Across his career, films he produced have earned ten Academy Awards, ten Golden Globes, twenty-five BAFTAs, nine Emmys and a Palme d’Or.
• He founded Enigma Productions, worked with directors such as Alan Parker, Ken Russell, Adrian Lyne and Ridley Scott, briefly led Columbia Pictures in 1986–87, and later focused on education and public service with roles at Atticus Education, the Film Distributors’ Association, the National Film and Television School, UNICEF UK, WWF and University College Cork.
