Overview
- The festival runs October 15–26 and launches out of competition with Milani’s Sardinia-set comedy La vita va così starring Virginia Raffaele, Diego Abatantuono, Aldo, Geppi Cucciari and Nicolò Senni.
- Paola Cortellesi presides the jury as the program presents 150 titles from 38 countries with a strong emphasis on Italian comedies and several domestic debuts.
- Producer Lord David Puttnam receives the new Industry Lifetime Achievement Award from Uberto Pasolini, alongside a three-film retrospective and a public conversation.
- International talent expected includes Jennifer Lawrence with Lynne Ramsay’s Die My Love, Robert Pattinson with the cast of Luc Besson’s Dracula including Christoph Waltz and Caleb Landry Jones, and Angelina Jolie.
- Citywide events span exhibitions and tributes at venues such as Castel Sant’Angelo, with honors for Jafar Panahi and homages to Pier Paolo Pasolini, Claudio Caligari, Franco Pinna and Carlo Rambaldi.
