Rolling Stones Announce First Studio Album in 18 Years ‘Hackney Diamonds’
- The Rolling Stones announced their first album of original music in 18 years, titled "Hackney Diamonds," at an event in London.
- The album features 12 tracks and will be released on October 20, with the first single "Angry" premiering along with a music video starring Sydney Sweeney.
- "Hackney Diamonds" includes contributions from late drummer Charlie Watts as well as new drummer Steve Jordan, who was recommended by Watts.
- Collaborations on the album include Lady Gaga on the track "Sweet Sounds of Heaven" and former bassist Bill Wyman.
- The announcement was preceded by a teaser campaign involving the band's logo projected onto landmarks and a fictional ad placed in the Hackney Gazette.
