Overview
- On Saturday Rohit Shetty posted a motion poster on Instagram that officially announced Golmaal 5 and its January 8, 2027 theatrical release.
- The announcement confirmed the return of the core Golmaal ensemble led by Ajay Devgn with Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, Shreyas Talpade and Sharman Joshi.
- Reports say Akshay Kumar and Priyamani have joined the cast, with multiple outlets reporting Akshay in a villainous role and Priyamani in a negative role.
- Production began in early 2026 and the film is being produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez in association with T‑Series.
- The January 8 release is a strategic play to benefit from regional holiday box office in Gujarat and it creates a direct box‑office clash with Prasanth Varma’s Mahakali.
