Overview

  • India's ODI captain will report to the Bengaluru Centre of Excellence on September 13 for a two to three day evaluation with practice sessions.
  • The program will include both the Yo-Yo test and the newly adopted Bronco test, which he must clear to demonstrate readiness.
  • With the Duleep Trophy final occupying the main ground from September 11–15, he will train on an alternate surface at the same facility.
  • Reports suggest he could seek match practice in an India A vs Australia A ODI series in Kanpur on September 30, October 3 and October 5, with Virat Kohli also a possibility.
  • India's ODI series in Australia begins on October 19 in Perth before Adelaide and Sydney, while Rohit has been sharpening in Mumbai under Abhishek Nayar.
