Selection remains pending with participation left to the players during a busy domestic window.

Overview

  • An official from the BCCI said it is highly unlikely the pair will play all three India A one-dayers, and any appearance would be only if they seek match time.
  • Both veterans are fit and available for India’s three-match ODI series in Australia, scheduled for October 19–25.
  • The India A vs Australia A ODIs are set for September 30, October 3 and October 5 at Green Park in Kanpur.
  • Rohit Sharma completed his routine fitness test at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, while Virat Kohli did his in London, with officials calling these standard checks for contracted players.
  • Final squad announcements are delayed as selectors prioritize Irani Cup matters, attend the Duleep Trophy final in Bengaluru, and with chief selector Ajit Agarkar currently with the team in Dubai.
