Rogers to Sell Nine Data Centres to InfraRed Capital Partners

Remaining as the service provider, Rogers plans to apply sale proceeds to debt reduction.

Overview

  • The agreement, signed on August 14, covers a portfolio of nine non-core data centres across Canada.
  • Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed at the time of announcement and closing is expected by late 2025.
  • Under commercial contracts, Rogers will continue to market data-centre services and provide network connectivity for the facilities.
  • The deal explicitly excludes Rogers’ internal data centres used for its own network and IT operations.
  • InfraRed Capital Partners, operating within Sun Life’s asset-management arm, will acquire ownership of the sites.
