Roger Stone, a longtime adviser to former President Donald Trump, reportedly made threatening remarks about assassinating Democratic Representatives Jerry Nadler and Eric Swalwell before the 2020 election.
The comments were allegedly made in a Florida restaurant to Sal Greco, a then-serving New York police officer and Stone's ally.
The conversation reportedly occurred after Nadler announced that the House Judiciary Committee would investigate Trump's commutation of Stone's prison sentence related to the investigation of Russian election interference in 2016.
Stone has denied making the comments, suggesting they are 'artificial intelligence manipulation'.
Stone has been associated with far-right groups such as the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers, and has been investigated for his role in the attack on Congress on January 6, 2021.
