- Roger Daltrey, 81, received the knighthood from the Prince of Wales during an investiture at Windsor Castle on 10 December.
- He was recognised for services to charity and music after being named in the King’s Birthday Honours in June.
- His Teenage Cancer Trust concerts at the Royal Albert Hall from 2000 to 2025 have raised more than £34 million and helped establish 28 specialist units within the NHS.
- Daltrey described the award as an “incredible honour” and said he accepted it on behalf of the people behind the charity’s success.
- Other recipients at the Windsor Castle ceremony included darts world champion Luke Humphries and actor Adjoa Andoh, who received MBEs.
