Rodalies to Halt R4 Sur Services July 12–13 for Major Track Works

Replacement buses across two July days with further weekend night closures through August support installation of a new track apparatus alongside safety upgrades at Sant Vicenç de Calders.

Overview

  • Train traffic on R4 sur between El Vendrell and Sant Vicenç de Calders will be fully suspended on July 12 and 13 with Renfe providing 77 replacement bus trips offering 4,200 seats.
  • Nighttime weekend closures of the R4 line are set for July 19–20, 26–27 and the first five weekends of August, affecting last departures and early morning services.
  • Adif’s work at Sant Vicenç de Calders includes installing a new track apparatus to eventually link track 3 with tracks 5, 7, 9 and 11 and upgrading station safety systems.
  • Single-track operations for Mediterranean Corridor upgrades are causing average delays of 15 minutes on the R4 between Sant Sadurní d’Anoia and Martorell Central.
  • Additional disruptions include a suspension of R8 services between Martorell Central and Rubí Can Vallhonrat replaced by buses and 30-minute average delays on the R2 Sud after a fallen tree damaged the catenary.
