- Search efforts by Rocky Mountain National Park rangers began on Aug. 12 after Kieckhafer’s family reported him missing on Aug. 11.
- Park spokesperson Kyle Patterson said Aug. 13 that there are no new developments to share on the ongoing search.
- He was last seen Aug. 7 around 5:20 p.m. in Upper Beaver Meadows, about one mile west of the Beaver Meadows Entrance along U.S. Highway 36, after being dropped off by an unnamed ride-share service.
- Authorities describe him as 5'11", 180 pounds, with short blonde hair, a mustache, blue-green eyes, dark clothing and a small maroon daypack.
