Rocky Mountain National Park Rangers Continue Search for Missing Omaha Man

The National Park Service published a detailed description of Blake Kieckhafer this week to enlist public help via its Investigative Services Bureau tip line

Blake Kieckhafer, 23, of Omaha was reported missing to park rangers by family at Colorado's Rocky Mountain National Park on August 11.

  • Search efforts by Rocky Mountain National Park rangers began on Aug. 12 after Kieckhafer’s family reported him missing on Aug. 11.
  • Park spokesperson Kyle Patterson said Aug. 13 that there are no new developments to share on the ongoing search.
  • He was last seen Aug. 7 around 5:20 p.m. in Upper Beaver Meadows, about one mile west of the Beaver Meadows Entrance along U.S. Highway 36, after being dropped off by an unnamed ride-share service.
  • Authorities describe him as 5'11", 180 pounds, with short blonde hair, a mustache, blue-green eyes, dark clothing and a small maroon daypack.
