Dan Houser, co-founder of Rockstar Games, unveiled the first look at characters from his new creative universe, the 'Absurdaverse,' under his studio Absurd Ventures.
The Absurdaverse will feature a diverse mix of 20 characters, ranging from contemporary humans to fantastical figures like skeletons and vikings, blending multiple genres and tones.
The studio is developing a 'story-driven action-comedy adventure game' set in the Absurdaverse, with additional details expected later this year.
In addition to the game, the Absurdaverse will include animation projects as well as narrative content like the podcast 'A Better Paradise' and the upcoming graphic novel 'American Caper.'
Absurd Ventures recently expanded with a second studio led by Dead Space co-creator Bret Robbins, working on a separate story-driven action-adventure game.
