Rockies Sign Dakota Hudson and Jacob Stallings to One-Year Contracts

The signings come as part of the Rockies' efforts to bolster their roster following their first 100-loss season last year.

The Colorado Rockies have signed one-year contracts with right-handed pitcher Dakota Hudson and catcher Jacob Stallings.
Hudson, previously with the St. Louis Cardinals, has a career record of 38-20 with a 3.84 ERA over 114 games.
Stallings, who has played for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Miami Marlins, has a lifetime .235 average with 24 home runs and 148 RBI.
Stallings was the only catcher in the majors who played 500 or more innings without a passed ball in 2021, earning him a Gold Glove.
To accommodate the new signings, the Rockies placed catcher Brian Serven on waivers, who was claimed by the Chicago Cubs, and assigned infielder Alan Trejo to Triple-A Albuquerque.
