Overview

• Heavy boulders fell onto the tracks around 4 a.m. between Tyada and Chipurupalli, blocking both up and down lines.
• Traffic was suspended through the Koraput–Kirandul corridor as engineers and trackmen began clearance and repairs at daybreak.
• A Visakhapatnam-bound goods train from Bacheli hit debris between Chimidipalli and Tyada, derailing two axles of the locomotive, officials said.
• ECoR cancelled the Visakhapatnam–Kirandul Passenger (58501) and the Kirandul–Visakhapatnam Passenger (58502) scheduled for October 19.
