Rockets Secure First Season Win Over Hornets with Stellar Performances from VanVleet and Green

After three losses, Houston Rockets secure first win with Green scoring 23 and VanVleet, a new addition to the team this season, adding 22 points and 11 assists against Charlotte Hornets.

The Houston Rockets secured their first win of the NBA season over the Charlotte Hornets with a 128-119 victory, led by stellar performances from Jalen Green and Fred VanVleet, who scored 23 and 22 points respectively.
In addition to his 22 points, Fred VanVleet, who is a new addition to the team, contributed 11 assists and five 3-pointers, playing a key role in the Rockets' win.
Aside from Green and VanVleet, other Rockets' starters also had a strong performance with Dillon Brooks scoring 20 points, Alperen Sengun and Jabari Smith Jr. contributing 36 points combined.
Despite an 18-point deficit in the first-half, the Hornets managed to cut the lead to three points by halftime. However, a series of 3-pointers by the Rockets in the third quarter pushed the lead back to 12 points.
The Rockets' Amen Thompson, who was the fourth pick in this year's draft, left the game in the third quarter due to a sprained right ankle.
