Rockets hire Ime Udoka as head coach after Celtics suspension; coach vows to learn from mistakes

Ime Udoka was announced as the new head coach of the Houston Rockets on Wednesday, replacing Stephen Silas.
Udoka was suspended for the entire 2022-23 NBA season by the Boston Celtics, his former team, for an improper relationship with a female employee.
Udoka apologized for his actions, underwent counseling and sensitivity training, and said he has become a better person and leader.
Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta said the organization was comfortable hiring Udoka after speaking with him and NBA officials.
Udoka said he plans to focus on adding shooting and size to the Rockets in free agency and holding players accountable.
