Overview

• HM Coastguard received reports at 12:49pm of a person falling from cliffs at Mutton Cove on the Isle of Portland.
• Rescuers from Wyke and Portland Coastguard teams, RNLI Weymouth lifeboat and a Coastguard helicopter were dispatched.
• The casualty was found in the water, winched to the cliff top by helicopter and handed to South Western Ambulance Service.
• Dorset Police said the incident involved a rock climber and confirmed the person was taken to a nearby hospital.
