Rochester Crash Suspect Dies, No Evidence of Terrorism Found

Michael Avery, who drove into a crowd on New Year's Day, may have had undiagnosed mental health issues, according to his family.

  • Michael Avery, 35, of Syracuse, NY, intentionally drove an SUV filled with gas canisters into a crowd leaving a concert in Rochester, NY, on New Year's Day, killing two people and injuring at least nine others.
  • Avery died from his injuries the following day. No suicide note or journal was found in his hotel room, and his family suggested he may have had undiagnosed mental health issues.
