Overview
- Emergency services were called at around 8:30pm on Thursday to the junction of Bolton Road and Eskdale Avenue in Rochdale.
- Two cars were involved, with two fire engines from Rochdale and an enhanced rescue unit from Leigh attending.
- Firefighters extricated a woman using specialist cutting equipment and she was taken to hospital by North West Ambulance Service.
- Greater Manchester Police said her injuries were not believed to be serious and no arrests were made.
- Road closures were lifted at about 10:30pm after crews spent roughly 90 minutes making the scene safe.
