Roblox now offers 25% more Robux when purchased via its website, on computers, or through gift cards, compared to app store platforms.
The change is a permanent update aimed at delivering greater value to users and creators while avoiding Apple and Google’s 30% in-app purchase fees.
This pricing adjustment applies globally and includes existing gift cards that have not yet been redeemed.
Epic Games' CEO Tim Sweeney praised the move, highlighting ongoing industry criticism of app store fees and restrictions.
The update comes as regulators, including the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority, review app store policies for potential anti-competitive practices.
