Overview
- Robert Plant’s new ensemble Saving Grace features vocalist Suzi Dian, drummer Oli Jefferson, guitarist Tony Kelsey, banjo and string player Matt Worley and cellist Barney Morse-Brown.
- The band’s self-titled album will arrive September 26 on Nonesuch Records and includes reinterpretations of material by Memphis Minnie, Blind Willie Johnson, Bob Mosley, the Low Anthem, Martha Scanlan and Sarah Siskind.
- Saving Grace has released a cover of Low’s “Everybody’s Song” as an advance preview of the project.
- After wrapping a summer European tour, Plant and Saving Grace will launch a North American run in November with stops at Toronto’s Massey Hall and Vancouver’s Vogue Theatre.
- Recording sessions for the album spanned from April 2019 through January 2025, including collaboration during England’s COVID-19 lockdown.
