Rob Reiner's 'This Is Spinal Tap' Sequel to Begin Filming in February

Paul McCartney, Elton John, and Garth Brooks to Make Appearances in the Upcoming Mockumentary

Rob Reiner has announced that the sequel to his 1984 mockumentary 'This Is Spinal Tap' will begin filming in February 2024.
The sequel will feature appearances from music legends Paul McCartney, Elton John, and Garth Brooks.
Original cast members Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer will reprise their roles as the members of the fictional band Spinal Tap.
The film was initially set to release in March 2024 to coincide with the original film’s 40th anniversary, but due to Hollywood strikes, the release date is yet to be announced.
The sequel is said to mimic the style of Martin Scorsese’s 'The Last Waltz', a legendary concert film that documented the farewell tour of the rock group The Band.
