Rob Marshall to Direct 'Guys and Dolls' Remake for TriStar Pictures

The acclaimed director of 'Chicago' and 'The Little Mermaid' is set to helm the new adaptation of the classic Broadway musical.

Rob Marshall is in talks to direct the remake of 'Guys and Dolls' for TriStar Pictures.
Marshall will co-write the script with John DeLuca, John Requa, and Glenn Ficarra.
The film will be produced by John Goldwyn, Marc Toberoff, Marc Platt, Marshall, and DeLuca.
TriStar Pictures has secured rights to the original Damon Runyon stories and the 1955 film adaptation.
The original 'Guys and Dolls' musical premiered on Broadway in 1950, winning five Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
