- The Rhein-Main transport network set an average 4.75% price rise from January and will discontinue the 9 a.m. monthly and annual passes, the 65-plus monthly ticket, annual one-off debit options for certain annual cards, and a jobticket limited to home–work trips.
- Frankfurt will hold adult single tickets at €3.80 and short-distance at €2.35 for one year, with the city reimbursing RMV for the revenue gap.
- RMV launched planning for a comprehensive tariff reform targeted to start in 2027, enabled by the federal–state agreement to maintain the Deutschlandticket through 2030.
- Chief executive Knut Ringat supports raising the Deutschlandticket to €63 next year and reports about 640,000 active Deutschlandticket subscriptions in the first half of 2025 with a rising trend.
- RMV cites higher wage costs, track charges and energy prices about 50% above 2020 levels as reasons for the increase, saying the step secures service funding and avoids cutbacks.
