Overview
- From 14 December 2025, the new schedule removes services and stops on several regional lines in Hesse.
- RE5 between Frankfurt and Fulda is canceled, RE70 drops stops in Mörfelden and Mannheim‑Waldhof, and RE85 no longer serves Offenbach Hauptbahnhof.
- RB53 will terminate in Flieden instead of running to Schlüchtern, reflecting broader capacity constraints on the network.
- RMV chief Knut Ringat issued an open letter to new DB CEO Evelyn Palla calling for better coordination of works, with no public reply reported so far.
- The timetable also adds targeted improvements, including better transfers on Friedberg–Friedrichsdorf and public transport links to Frankfurt Airport’s Terminal 3, while ticket prices rise on 1 January with the Deutschlandticket set at €63 and an average RMV increase of about 4.75%.
