RMT Secures Major Pay and Benefits Deal for London Underground Workers

The union has accepted a new agreement that includes significant pay increases and improved working conditions for its members.

The Rail, Maritime and Transport union (RMT) has resolved a pay dispute with London Underground, calling the agreement a 'landmark victory.'
Lower-paid Tube workers will see pay increases ranging from 5% to 6.6%, with an average increase of 4.6%.
Additional benefits include extended paternity leave, expanded travel perks, and three years of earnings protection for medically displaced staff.
The RMT credited collective bargaining for securing the deal, which it says protects work-life balance and workplace dignity.
Union leaders have pledged to build on this success to achieve further improvements in 2025.
