Overview
- RMT agreed a three-year offer that lifts pay by 3.4% in year one, then by next February’s RPI in year two and February 2027 RPI plus 0.2% in year three, according to TfL.
- The agreement includes fatigue-friendly rosters, further talks on staff travel, and a £400 payment for those working on Boxing Day, the union said.
- TfL said no changes to working hours are included, after the union had previously pushed for a shorter week during the dispute.
- RMT leader Eddie Dempsey called the settlement proof that strike action delivered RPI-linked increases, while TfL described the deal as fair and affordable.
- TfL is engaging Aslef, Unite and TSSA on the same multi-year offer, following September strikes that disrupted Tube and DLR services and were estimated by CEBR to cost at least £230m.
