Rivian EVs Add YouTube, Google Cast, and SiriusXM in Latest Update

The software update enhances in-car entertainment options, including streaming apps and improved functionality for R1S and R1T models.

Rivian's new software update introduces native YouTube and SiriusXM apps, along with Google Cast functionality, to R1S and R1T vehicles.
YouTube and Google Cast features are included in Rivian's Connect+ subscription, which costs $14.99 per month or $149.99 annually.
SiriusXM requires a separate subscription directly from the service, with costs ranging from $9.99 to $24.98 per month, but Rivian is offering a free trial for all customers.
Google Cast allows users to stream content from over 3,000 apps to the car's screen while parked, though Netflix casting is not currently supported.
The update also includes improvements to Highway Assist for Gen 2 vehicles, new infotainment graphics, and other minor system fixes.
