- Outgoing Chief Product Officer Nick Kalayjian will transition to the role of Executive Vice President, Vehicle Engineering & Propulsion, and will continue to report to Scaringe.
- The reshuffle comes as Rivian is developing its next-generation platform, the R2, which is expected to deliver more affordable EVs and help Rivian break into the mass market.
- Rivian exceeded delivery expectations in Q3, with 15,564 EVs delivered to customers, up 24% from Q2 and more than double last year's numbers.
- The company is also planning to start delivering its electric delivery vans to fleet customers beyond Amazon starting in 2024.
