Overview

  • Rivian’s Joshua Tree Charging Outpost has been retrofitted to include native NACS connectors alongside existing CCS ports.
  • The Southampton, New York, Outpost is set to open August 7 with both CCS and NACS cables in a dual-connector layout.
  • Rivian plans to upgrade all 121 Adventure Network sites, which house over 400 DC fast chargers and 77 locations open to any EV.
  • Since March 2024, Rivian has distributed free NACS adapters to owners, enabling access to Tesla’s network of more than 23,500 Superchargers.
  • Upcoming Rivian models, including the 2026 R1T and R1S and later R2 and R3 vehicles, will come factory-equipped with NACS ports.
