Riverside County Sends 18 Coachella Dogs to San Diego Rescue as Shelters Reach 230% Capacity

  • RCDAS reports a severe imbalance in recent intake and outcomes, with 1,620 dogs entering and 1,021 leaving in August and overall dog capacity reaching about 230% in September.
  • To ease crowding, adoption fees are waived through the end of September, walk-ins are encouraged, and adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchips and an engraved ID tag.
