Riverside County Closes Multiple Food Vendors for Health Violations, Oct. 16–23
The latest county report shows swift enforcement with reopenings verified after fixes.
Overview
- Silent Valley Club in Banning and Azteca Market Carniceria in Riverside were ordered closed Oct. 21 for rodent infestations.
- Cookie Co. in Beaumont was shut Oct. 16 for operating without a valid health permit, and Zapata’s Mexican Restaurant in Nuevo was closed Oct. 20 for insufficient hot water.
- Goody’s Food Store in Riverside was closed Oct. 17 for a cockroach infestation and cleared to reopen Oct. 20.
- Jack In The Box on Sycamore Canyon Boulevard in Riverside was closed Oct. 16 because of a sewage overflow.
- Several earlier closures were later allowed to reopen, including KK Market (Oct. 20), Taqueria Azteca (Oct. 16), Dunkin’ (Oct. 14), La Michoacana (Oct. 10), Juized at LA Fitness (Oct. 16) and Viano’s Pizza (Oct. 9), according to the Riverside County Department of Environmental Health.
