Overview
- Uddhav Thackeray will address Shiv Sena (UBT) supporters at Shivaji Park from 5 pm, while Eknath Shinde’s faction meets at the Nesco Exhibition Centre at 6 pm after abandoning waterlogged Azad Maidan.
- Shinde urged workers from flood-hit Marathwada, Vidarbha and North Maharashtra to skip Mumbai and help farmers, positioning his rally as a relief and fundraising effort.
- Mumbai Police have deployed more than 16,500 constables and nearly 2,900 officers with SRPF, QRT, BDDS, dog squads and other units, including 300-plus personnel at Shivaji Park and over 200 at Nesco.
- Temporary traffic restrictions run 5–10 pm with diversions around Shivaji Park and the Nesco–Goregaon corridor as the city also handles Durga idol immersion processions and Gandhi Jayanti events.
- The rallies double as a launch pad for local body campaigns including BMC polls, with unconfirmed reports suggesting Raj Thackeray could join Uddhav’s stage as a signal of possible UBT–MNS seat coordination.
