Ritz-Carlton Guest Sues Hotel Claiming Water Served was Contaminated with Semen, Laboratory Test Confirms Allegation

Ritz-Carlton Accused of Obstructing Investigation, Failing to Provide Evidence and Staff Information After Guest Claims She Drank Semen-Contaminated Water, Causing Emotional Distress and Fear of Contracting STI

  • A woman, identified as Jane Doe, has sued the Ritz-Carlton in California after claiming that a staffer served her water contaminated with semen during her stay for her birthday in November 2022.
  • The lawsuit claims the Ritz-Carlton refused to cooperate with investigations into the incident. The hotel allegedly refused to provide authorities with the contaminated water bottle and information about hotel staff present during the incident.
  • The Ritz-Carlton sent the water bottle to a lab for testing, confirmation came back positive that the water contained semen. The hotel however refused to provide Jane Doe with a copy of these lab results.
  • The lawsuit also alleges that Marriott International, the parent company of the Ritz-Carlton, obstructed the investigation by not disclosing the identities of hotel employees working on the day of the incident.
  • Jane Doe is seeking compensation for sexual battery and negligence, and requesting a jury trial to settle the case. Ritz-Carlton has responded to the lawsuit by offering Marriott reward points to the couple.
