Tom McKibbin, a 22-year-old golfer from Northern Ireland, is reportedly in discussions to join Jon Rahm’s LIV Golf team, Legion XIII, according to Spanish outlet Ten Golf.
McKibbin recently earned a PGA Tour card after finishing in the top 10 of the DP World Tour’s Race to Dubai rankings in November 2024.
The move, if confirmed, would position McKibbin alongside Tyrrell Hatton and Caleb Surratt on Rahm’s LIV team, potentially marking a significant coup for the Saudi-backed league.
McKibbin, who won his first DP World Tour title in 2023, is scheduled to compete in the Abu Dhabi Team Cup this week and the Dubai Desert Classic next week.
The potential switch comes as LIV Golf continues to attract young talent despite efforts by the PGA Tour to retain players through expanded opportunities and exemptions.
