Ripple Sets XRPL Roadmap With Protocol-Level Lending in Version 3.0.0

The plan targets regulated finance by pairing built-in compliance with forthcoming zero-knowledge privacy.

Overview

  • A native lending protocol is slated to ship with XRPL v3.0.0 later this year, using Single-Asset Vaults for pooled lending and underwritten credit while keeping risk models off-chain.
  • Ripple says compliance tools including Credentials, Deep Freeze, and transaction simulation are now live, with Permissioned DEX and related controls under validator vote.
  • A Multi-Purpose Token standard launches in October to represent complex assets like bonds and funds with native metadata such as maturities, tranches, and transfer restrictions without smart contracts.
  • Zero-knowledge integrations are in development, with confidential Multi-Purpose Tokens targeted for Q1 2026 to enable privacy-preserving collateral management, KYC proofs, and proof-of-reserves.
  • Ripple reports the XRP Ledger exceeded $1 billion in monthly stablecoin volume and ranks in the top 10 for RWA activity, as validators are urged to upgrade and developers test features on devnet.
