Overview
- Ripple announced Oct. 6 that Ripple Prime will provide multi-asset prime brokerage, clearing and financing services to funds managed by Brevan Howard.
- Brevan Howard manages about $35 billion in client assets and previously participated in Ripple’s $500 million strategic funding round in 2025.
- Ripple Prime was built after Ripple bought institutional broker Hidden Road in 2025 and has added products such as U.S. Delta One equity total-return swaps and a direct DeFi link to Hyperliquid.
- The prime unit has boosted its balance sheet and institutional credibility with a $200 million client-lending facility from Neuberger Berman, a $275 million senior note placement rated BBB by KBRA, and disclosure of more than $1 billion in regulatory net capital.
- Ripple has not published a detailed timetable for rolling the Brevan Howard services into live operations, but the agreement could speed wider adoption of a single platform that lets funds trade, clear and finance both traditional and digital assets.
