Riot Games Announces Second Round of Layoffs in 2024

Riot Games has laid off 32 employees, including 27 from the League of Legends development team and 5 from publishing roles.
This marks the second round of layoffs this year, following a significant reduction of 530 employees in January 2024.
Co-founder Marc Merrill stated the layoffs are not for cost-cutting but to ensure the right expertise for long-term success.
Affected employees will receive a severance package, including six months' pay, health coverage, and job placement assistance.
