• The 20th Rio Mountain Festival opens at CCBB on Oct. 16 with 30 films on adventure and mountain culture plus slackline, a climbing wall and a hang-glider simulator at Centro Cultural Correios.
• On Oct. 17, the Roxy Dinner Show marks its first year after more than 220 performances of the revue Aquele abraço, pairing the production with dinner service in Copacabana.
• Woodcut master Ciro Fernandes unveils 76 works in the retrospective O Rio de Ciro at Museu da Chácara do Céu from Oct. 18, with an opening performance by guitarist Jean Charnaux and a run through Jan. 30.
• The 28th Feira do Vinil takes over the IAB in Catete on Oct. 19 celebrating 50 years of Hyldon’s Na rua, na chuva, na fazenda with the artist present, DJ vinyl sets, autograph sessions and free entry.
• Audio Rebel’s Festival Rebel 20 anos runs in Botafogo Oct. 21–26 with sets by Moonlight Benjamim, Alberto Continentino, Zumbi do Mato, Melvin and Vulgue Tostoi Despedida, while the 4th Mostra Terrível screens 40+ genre films Oct. 22–Nov. 5 at Estação Net Botafogo and Net Gávea opening with The Birds and Blue Velvet.
