Rio Launches Gestão em Números Transparency Platform

Overview

• The state rolled out Gestão em Números on Wednesday with interactive public dashboards that compile purchases, contracts, suppliers, official vehicles, fuel use and travel expenses.
• Official figures posted on the site show 3,058 procurement processes and R$9.92 billion moved in 2026, 57,368 registered suppliers, a service fleet of 2,414 vehicles and more than R$24 million in fuel spending so far this year.
• A governor-signed decree requires agencies that have not centralized buying to send data to the planning secretariat and sets rules excluding names, security-sensitive vehicle details and information protected by confidentiality or the data protection law (LGPD).
• Planned technical upgrades include adding direct links to processes in the SEI records system and a procurement to install tags on service vehicles to link fuel cards to specific cars and curb misuse.
• Officials say the platform replaces a technical portal that needed specialist queries and aims to let citizens cross-check company ownership ties and spot anomalies while monthly updates and LAI requests can provide further documents.
