Overview
- City officials published the full operational plan on Thursday and said the special operation will start Sept. 1 and run through Sept. 18 for shows on Sept. 4–7 and Sept. 11–13.
- Roads around Parque Olímpico will close from 14:00 on show days with ten OCR plate‑reading checkpoints and pre‑registered residents and authorized vehicles allowed access.
- The BRT Expresso Rock in Rio will run 11:00–04:00 with a R$29 round‑trip ticket sold only through the Jaé app and QR codes for boarding available to buyers from Aug. 28.
- Transit operators will add 24‑hour service at Jardim Oceânico metro and expanded VLT and night express runs, while authorities suspend some maintenance work to prioritize circulation.
- Security and health resources include about 5,000 municipal agents, drones and camera monitoring, six medical posts with 16 ambulances, and an estimated economic boost of roughly R$3.3 billion and 33.9 thousand jobs.
