Ringbrothers Unveils 800-HP 'Kingpin' 1969 Mustang Mach 1 at SEMA 2025

The bespoke restomod pairs a widened carbon-fiber body with a ladder-frame chassis to deliver modern dynamics.

Overview

  • The customer-commissioned build consumed more than 5,500 hours of shop time.
  • The body is widened by 2 inches up front and 3.5 inches at the rear, finished in BASF Bootleg Black with carbon-fiber hood, grille surround, tail panel and diffuser.
  • An integrated Roadster Shop ladder chassis with a 1.5-inch wheelbase stretch brings independent rear suspension, Fox coilovers and Brembo brakes.
  • Power comes from a Wegner-built 5.0-liter Coyote V8 topped by a Whipple supercharger for roughly 800 hp, paired with a Bowler Carbon Edition six-speed manual.
  • Ringbrothers did not disclose the price, though coverage estimates it north of $600,000, and co-owner Jim Ring said the brief aimed for a sinister aesthetic.
