Ring Introduces 4K ‘Retinal Vision’ Cameras, AI Doorbell Assistant and Pet-Finding Alerts

Preorders are open as Ring schedules pet-finding alerts for November, then visitor recognition for December.

Overview

  • Ring’s new lineup brings Retinal Vision imaging to 2K and its first 4K cameras and doorbells, adding AI tuning, 10x zoom and improved low‑light performance.
  • Preorder models include Wired Doorbell Pro 4K ($249.99), Outdoor Cam Pro 4K ($199.99), Spotlight Cam Pro 4K ($249.99), Floodlight Cam Pro 4K ($279.99), Wired Doorbell Plus 2K ($179.99) and Indoor Cam Plus 2K ($59.99).
  • Familiar Faces lets users enroll known people for face recognition, and Alexa+ Greetings turns Alexa into a doorbell attendant for deliveries and visitor interactions, with both features rolling out in December.
  • Search Party will begin in November by alerting nearby Ring users when their outdoor cameras may have spotted a reported lost dog, with opt‑in sharing controls and support for cats to follow.
  • Pro options add Power over Ethernet variants for several devices, and coverage again raised Ring’s privacy record and its recent move to require warrants for police footage requests.
